Forklift batteries are designed to last for 1500 cycles, with an average life of 5 years. After-care is also very important, such as prohibiting over-charging, over-discharging, over-drying water, battery not clean enough for leakage, short circuit, etc.

Daily maintenance

(1) The battery should be charged immediately after each discharge.

(2) Each discharge should not exceed 80% of the total capacity of the battery.

Weekly maintenance

(1) Check whether the cable screws between the battery cells are fixed.

(2) If the battery is not equipped with automatic liquid filling system, after charging, check that the electrolyte is below the allowable level, add the qualified set height, and when there is too much electrolyte, pump out to the specified height.

(3) Check whether there is water in the battery box, found that the water must be immediately sucked dry.

Monthly maintenance

(1) Before the end of charging, check the voltage of all electrode cells as well as the battery and record it.

(2) After the end of charging, the electrolyte density and temperature of each battery cell should be measured and recorded. If there is a big difference with the previous measurement value, professional personnel should be asked to check it.

Annual maintenance

(1) The battery should be checked by the professional once a year for the insulation resistance of the forklift and the insulation resistance of the battery. The specified value of insulation resistance of the battery is 50 ohms/volts. For the whole battery (electricity reaches 220 volts) the resistance is at least 1000 ohms.

(2) Check the charger once according to the manual to ensure that all functions are normal.

General precautions

(1) The battery should be kept clean and dry, which can avoid the generation of creeping current.

(2) If there is liquid in the battery box, it must be sucked out immediately with a suction pipe.

(3) If the internal and external paint of the battery is found to be damaged, it should be repaired immediately to protect the outer case from insulation and corrosion.

(4) If the battery unit is found to need replacement, it should be carried out by professionals.

Storage of the battery

(1) The battery should be stored in a dry, frost-free place.

(2) If you want to make the battery ready to be put into use, it should be handled according to the following points.
